Piezoelectric transducer consist of two parts, transmitter
and receiver. Transmitter transmits a pulse of frequency 2 MHz
from the front surface of the material and receiver receives a
pulse which is reflected by the rear surface. The time between
transmitted and received pulse is directly proportional to the
thickness of material. This time is measured & converted to
thickness with the help of electronic circuitry.
