APPLICATION :
Piezoelectric transducer consists of two parts,
transmitter and receiver. Transmitter transmits a pulse
of frequency 2 MHz from the front surface of the
material and receiver receives a pulse which is
reflected by the rear surface. The time between
transmitted and received pulse is directly proportional
to the of the material. This time is measured &
converted to thickness with the help of electronic
circuitry.

to 99.9 m.m.)

Measurement
Display :L.C.D. ( Liquid Crystal Display) of 12.5 mm
height which is useful to read in very bright ambient
light.
L.E.D.
( Light Emitting Doide) of 7 m.m. height which is useful
to read in darkness.
Probe: P.Z.T. transducer which can withstand up to
80șC. It can measure on plane surfaces and pipes of
outer diameter greater than two inched.
Special Curvature Probe can be provided at extra cost
for measuring for pipes of outer diameter than two
inches.
Battery Check : by L.E.D. Lamp.The unit can be
provided with built in timer which automatically
switches off the unit 2 to 4 minutes after it is
switched on or 2 to 4 minutes after last reading is
taken.
